TV & Flim

Lao National Television (LNTV)

The ProCEEd team and its strategic partners have been producing regular environmental TV programs at the national level which viewers can follow regularly. These nationwide TV broadcasting activities support ProCEEd's objective that knowledge, attitudes and behavior related to the environment, biodiversity and climate change in Laos will improve through better access to relevant information. Thus, rural target groups should be empowered to better mitigate and adapt to climate change and risks, and protect biodiversity and the environment in general.

ProCEEd has supported the environmental magazine "Our Environment" of Lao National Television (LNTV) since 2013 through coaching, quality management, and production assistance. In addition, the project extended capacity development in relevant journalistic skills through a one-week advanced training on environmental journalism with a renowned German and Thai colleague in 2014, which Lao print, radio and TV journalists participated in.

So far, the following TV programs have been supported by ProCEEd:

Lao National Television, Channel 3 nationwide program
weekly environmental TV magazine "Our Environment", 30 minutes, since January 2013
in 2017, starting every Tuesday at 07:40, 15:40 and 20:40

On this website, users can watch 12 documentary films that were produced by LNTV, Lao Youth Union and renowned documentary film maker Peter Livermoore of Creative 7 Arts and are broadcast on LNTV between 21 Feb and 6 June, 2017. Three or four 15-min episodes make up for a mini-series that focuses on a specific topic, e.g. wildlife or forest protection.

LNTV Documentary Films

In addition to the support to LNTV, ProCEEd worked together with young documentary film makers in Laos through the Summer Film Schools organized by DokLao in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion of MoNRE. Many of the productions can be found on the page linked below.
